Just an FYI

Lots more here

Good morning all.  I just wanted to pop in to let you know, for in case you were anxiously awaiting it's arrival in your mailbox, that we won't be sending Christmas cards this year.  For those darlings who read regularly, and always receive one, I didn't want you to think you were being left out.  I just decided it wasn't worth it this year, the cost, the effort, the whole shebang.

Above and below are some great printable, all round up from around the internet and a cool link that has bunches more.  There are so many great, free holiday crafts to be done, and this is just a VERY small compilation that I liked. If interested in more, peruse over to Pinterest and you will be amazed.  Have a great day my lovies, A

Answered Prayers

At church yesterday, it was all about what we are grateful for. In lieu of all the grief and tragedy of Friday's loss (because honestly my heart just can't handle it) I'm trying to focus on this concept.  What am I truly grateful for above all else?  Answered Prayers.  I pray over my children, I pray over my family and hubs, I pray over our finances, I pray over my students, I pray over the most random stuff that you'd think would be irrelevant to God.

Let me tell you this.  Nothing is too small or big.  Nothing.  God cares about every little detail of your life.

I keep a prayer journal, and write lots of my prayers down so I can keep an idea of the progress...so I will know when it is answered.  Guess what?  When I look back through it, the most amazing thing happens, you can see perfectly how God works in your life and in others lives.  The most awesome answered prayers from this year (that I feel appropriate to share) is a huge plumbing blessing, a $300 electric bill paid for one of my students, and yet another student coming to know Christ.

God will show up.  He will exceed your expectations.  Have faith my lovie.  Give it all to God, and he will give you back ten fold.  Pray, lift it all up.  Tight hugs, A

Our Maddy Girl

This is our Maddy girl.  She is the heart of the family and has always been there.  I had Maddy before I met Mr. N.  I want to write down all the little things of her, so that I won't forget.  She will be 15 in June.

Maddy went on Mr. N and I's first date, she was a puppy.  She pooped in my lap on the way to get ice cream.  We joke saying, that this is how John knew I was a good woman, because I didn't freak out.  She was truly our first born.  She would fetch sticks and balls until her feet bled.   She won a dog show and I was once told she would make an excellent rescue dog because of her intensity and love.

When we brought Ben home from the hospital, I placed Ben up against Maddy's belly.   Her eyes widened as she looked at me and then relaxed.  She just smelled him and knew she loved him.  Maddy would have been a great mama.

Ben's nursery was across the house, and she would come wake me up if he was crying and I didn't hear him.  She later helped Ben walk, and then run.  She helped Sam walk.  The boys have always pulled up on her, thus us keeping her hair short.  Maddy is always in the background of our lives....protecting us.

I love her smell, I remember her pink little belly, I love that she's held on for me.  I loved her first.  She has stood by me throughout it all.  I love the way she will look at me when the boys are loving on her too hard, and she is just saying, "save me mom."  I love the way if I get up in the night, she follows me.  If I lay back down, and she doesn't know where I am, she searches for me.  These days, when she lays down, it's really hard to get back up and she will always pick a spot in the hub of the house so she can see all of us.

It was a rough weekend with our little Maddy.  We are closer to the end than I previously thought.   She's tired....and I don't know when to call it a game.  That's all I have today, A

Mama Projects

Project #1: Ombre built In:

One weekend when Mr. N was out of town, I decide to paint my closet... finally!  It was this horrible creamy color, that always looked dirty.  And, because of our very old home, our closet is open and you can always see inside of it.  I took everything out of it and went to town, watching crappy Bravo. I had loved the ombre look, and it was easy enough.  We are still going to do something about the ugly, original to the house, light fixture. It took the whole weekend, lots of coats, but I'm pretty pleased with the results!

Project #2: Advent for Two

I made this last weekend, and it was super easy.  It was obviously inspired by Pinterest!  I got a cork board at Hobby Lobby and some fabric.  I pulled the fabric smooth and tight, then hot glued the fabric down on the back side. I then took the boxes and arranged them and used two push pins to adhere it to the board.

Then, you just make it all pretty!  I used washi tape and a sharpie.  A trip to Wal-Mart was made to get little fun items.  I also used printable for fun things to do as a family or for random acts of kindness.  Today our post-man gets a treat, and we have passed out flowers at the grocery already.  Tonight is movie night....with popcorn for dinner!  Yeah for Friday!  Have a great weekend...hugs, A

Jewels Making Machine

This was my evening last night....wine and trying to create.  I always make huge messes while thinking these things through.  The top pictures is of lots of jewels already ready for sale. Come on over to my booth on Sunday and give me a hug!  I will probably need one!  A
